HAMLIN. - If last Thursday's contest was billed as a battle of high school softball juggernauts, then it truly lived up to all of the hype and drama. The Clash of the Titans, so to speak. It was Cabell Midland versus Lincoln County. It was the Region IV semi-final. CHAPMANVILLE — One thing is certain. Chapmanville Regional High School has earned a reputation as the state's top Class A softball power. And deservedly so.
