TERESA ARLETTE McCOMAS, 41, of Branchland, WV died Monday April 23, 2012. She was born August 16, 1970 in Logan Co., WV, a daughter of Velma Ferguson Clay and the late Bernie Clay. She was the dairy manager for Save A Lot, Hamlin, WV. She was also preceded in death by a brother Bernie Ray Clay.
Additional survivors include: three daughters, Britney McComas, Chelcia McComas and Jazmyn Fincham, all of Branchland; brother, Robert Clay of Lavalette, WV; a sister, Loretta Sadowiski of Chicago, Ill.
Funeral services were held 11am Saturday, April, 28, 2012 at McGhee-Handley Funeral Home, West Hamlin, WV, with Eddie McComas officiating. The burial will follow in the Watson Cemetery, Branchland, WV. Friends called from 6pm to 9pm Friday at the funeral home.
PEARLY “Odell” PRITCHARD, 62, of Branchland, WV, went to be with the Lord Monday, April 23, 2012, at his home, after a very courageous fight against cancer. He was preceded in death by his father, Clifford “Kip” Pritchard.
Odell was retired from BASF, Huntington, WV; and a United States Marine Corp Vietnam Veteran.
He is survived by: one daughter, Bridget Pritchard Bishop; a son-in-law, Jerry Bishop of Salt Rock, WV; and one special foster daughter, Robin Wood, of St. Petersburg, FL. Survivors also include: his mother, Ruth Pritchard; four brothers, Chuck, Rocky, Larry and Elba Pritchard; two sisters, Nan Pritchard Meeks and Linda Merritte; two grandchildren and spouses, Derek and Chastity Pinkerman, Brianna and RJ Kiser, all of Barboursville, WV; two step grandchildren, Gabriel and Annabelle Bishop of Hendersonville, NC.
His daughters would like to extend a special thank you to the Cancer Treatment Center of America, Dr. Shayma Kazmi, and her entire team, located in Philadelphia PA; also Dr. Sharma of the Cyberknife center in Huntington, WV. Each of them did everything possible to assist in his fight against cancer.
Odell never lost his positive and witty personality throughout his illness and enjoyed a host of family and friends during his final days. He will be deeply missed and will remain in our hearts forever.
Funeral services were held at the McGhee-Handley Funeral Home, in West Hamlin, WV, Thursday, April 26, 2012 at 11:00 am. Friends paid respects from 6-9pm on Wednesday evening at the funeral home; burial followed the service immediately in Odell Pritchard Cementary, Kentuck Rd, Branchland,
